Statements on Pregnancy and COVID-19

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has stated that “Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared with non-pregnant people. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19..”  Leading health organizations including CDC, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) strongly recommend vaccination of pregnant and breastfeeding women against COVID-19.
