TCHMB Obstetrics (OB) Committee Co-Chair Application 

TCHMB is seeking a Co-Chair for the TCHMB Obstetrics (OB) Committee who can help us prioritize and improve maternal care and assist with Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives. The role of the OB Committee is to support and advance the overall missions and projects of TCHMB to improve health care quality and patient safety for Texas mothers & babies. This position is also a voting member on the TCHMB Executive Committee. 

The current priority of the TCHMB OB Committee is the implementation of a partnership with the Texas Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) initiatives, currently the sepsis initiative.  

Areas of expertise that could be useful are: 

• Obstetrics specialist  (current area of special focus) 

• Project management/full lifecycle product development 

• Experience with quality improvement, especially multi-center collaborations 

The term of a Co-Chair is two years, with the opportunity to serve a second term. The role expectations and responsibilities include attendance at quarterly TCHMB Executive Committee meetings and regular scheduled OB Committee and OB Committee Leadership meetings as determined by the Co-Chairs and the needs of the OB Committee.
